Passengers are protected against collisions from all directions. The 10-airbag system includes advanced airbags in the front seats, driver’s knee airbags, center side airbags in the front seats, front and rear side-curtain airbags, and curtain airbags in case of rollovers.
When leaving a parking spot at low speed, the car detects pedestrians and obstacles around the vehicle using a wide-angle camera and ultrasonic sensors. If a potential collision is detected, an alert sounds, and will apply the brakes to prevent contact.

While on the highway, this helps the vehicle to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front and to stay centered in its lane at a set speed, even in curved sections. It also assists in lane changes.
This system alerts the driver of approaching vehicles in the blind spot area when the driver activates the turn signals to change lanes or when the vehicle is exiting a parallel parking spot. If the risk increases even after the warning, the system helps to automatically stop the vehicle to avoid a potential collision.

The G80 helps you maintain a safe speed on the highway. It automatically slows down the vehicle when approaching low-speed zones or curved sections, then returns to its pre-set speed after passing these sections.
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is available only on controlled access highways (or motorways), and does not operate on interchanges or junctions.
